Esther Meyer

Transformative Research Project Manager
Esther is passionate about transdisciplinarity and sustainability and the overlap of both in teaching and research.

She studied Philosophy & Economics at the University of Bayreuth and Sustainability Sciences at Leuphana University, Luneburg.

After that, she has been working on her PhD project, at the Faculty of Sustainability and Chair for Transdisciplinary Methods at Leuphana University of Lüneburg. Here she has been addressing the question of how transdisciplinary sustainability research, in the first place, does conceptualise and, in the second place, could conceptualise knowledge, research, and science.

By organising international, transdisciplinary conferences, workshops and summer schools, she has gained experience in science management and facilitation.

As the transformative research project manager for Lighthouse, her current interests are, among others, to make visible in terms of communication strategy, the potential of transdisciplinary collaborations in terms of their methodology and their contributions to sustainable futures.
