Milena Diehl

Junior Volunteer Coordinator

Milena engages in research and coordination of the Lighthouse Sustainability Trolley in Lüneburg and is involved in the acquisition of new volunteers.

In view of the climate crisis, it is important to her that young people network and exchange ideas in order to actively shape their future. In this context, the exchange with older people through the Lighthouse Sustainability Trolley has shown her how valuable it is to bring together different knowledge and to think further.

Milena studies International Business Administration & Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Science at Leuphana University in Lüneburg. In her studies, she also deals with social psychology and learns about methodological approaches of different disciplines. The focus of her studies is on the role and interaction of profit and non-profit actors in local sustainability transformations.

In addition to her work as a “Junior Volunteer Coordinator” for Lighthouse gGmbH, Milena works at a zero-waste shop, where she supports sustainable living and social entrepreneurship.
